He has served as a mediator and arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and sat on its panel of construction and commercial arbitrators. He was a member of the construction law committee and professionalism committee of the Columbus Bar Association, and was president of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Lawyers. Moreover, Mr. Hutson served on the board of governors of the Ohio State Bar Association, and he was the regional vice president of the Defense Research Institute. Today, he continues in his professional affiliations as a fellow of the Columbus Bar Foundation, the Ohio State Bar Foundation, the American College of Trial Layers, the American Constitution Society, the Columbus Bar Association and the Columbus Metropolitan Club.

Mr. Hutson’s career is supported by his educational foundation. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he achieved a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1963 and an LLB in 1966. He was admitted to practice in the state of Ohio in 1966 and Hawaii in 1971.
